Statement:

 

Spitzbergen is a specific territory in Svalbard. There are no native tribes or population. This territory is the closest land to the North Pole in the world. It was settled by convicts peoples (sentenced to hard labor in charcoal mines), by whalers, trappers, sealers and so on so on...
This territory is a kind of fossil territory. It
hasseverals traces through different times when humans migrated to this wild land: From 19th century, through the second world war when Nazi was occupying this land, to the Cold war...
